Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Saigon at 07:30AM, we go straight to the Ben Dinh Tunnels (Fighting tunnel). A vast underground tunnel system was secretly dug out by hand by the troops of the “Vietnamese National Liberation Front” and continued to expand as the fighting raged above ground. They were built during the struggle against the colonial powers that were very strong. The tunnel extended three levels deep, with secret entrances, guard rooms, traps for attackers, head quarter, rooms for surgery and wounds, kitchens, escape tunnels to the Saigon river, etc, Total length is more than 200 km, they were dug by using simple farming tools and many hours hard – working.

Upon arrival at Ben Dinh Tunnels, a documentary video tells us of the bravery and cleverness of the Vietnamese villagers, for the example their skillful ways of camouflaged entrances and air holes for breathing. After this film we trek to a typical part of this tropical jungle battle field (between this Lao – Cambodia – Vietnam border) to see and go inside the tunnels and experience the live of the villager. This location was the first link from the Ho Chi Minh trail to the National Liberation Front headquarters. Around the secret bunker entrances there are many big bomb craters.

Then we will drive to My Tho - one of the provinces of Mekong Delta. Have Halal lunch at a Muslim Halal restaurant in Mekong. Upon arrival at My Tho, cruising a long day by boat along the Upper River (Mekong Delta) through a region where there are 4 islands with the names of fabulous animals found in Buddhism (Dragon–Unicorn– Phoenix–Turtle). Look over the floating houses and feed fish farms along Mekong River. Visiting and seeing some activities of Vietnamese daily life to understand about the life depends on the river Mekong. (handicrafts, souvenirs make from coco wood, candies make from coconut or banana...those are all the special products of local people in Ben Tre). At another stop-Bee keeping Farm, we learn how to collect natural honey all kind of Pollen-Nectar from tropical fruit gardens. Taste some tea with honey mixture you will feel strong and pleasant. Continue to Dragon Island by rowing boat through the natural canals with water coconut trees on two banks of river. Get on land and walk in tropical orchard, taste some tropical fruits and enjoy traditional music with local people (if available). Drive back to Ho Chi Minh city. Tour ends at your hotel at around 18:00-18:30.
