Yes. Hoi An Ancient Town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. It is about 30 km from Da Nang, about 30–45 minutes by car, and since July 2025 it has been part of Da Nang city.

In the Cam Thanh area, a few kilometres from Hoi An Old Town, local boatmen paddle you through the Bay Mau water-coconut forest in round bamboo basket boats. The basket boats and life jackets are included in this tour.

Yes. This is a private tour, so your guide plans the day around prayer times and stops whenever you need to pray. Da Nang has no purpose-built mosque yet, but Muslims can pray at the musalla (prayer room) above Halal Food Karim, 186 Tran Hung Dao Street; ask the restaurant about Friday (Jumu’ah) prayer before you go. Yes. You travel only with your own family or group, with a private guide and a private air-conditioned vehicle, whatever your group size.

Included: a local English-speaking guide, private air-conditioned transport from and to your hotel in Da Nang, a halal lunch, the bamboo basket boat ride with life jackets, all entrance fees and bottled water.

Not included: hotel accommodation (available on request), travel insurance, drinks and personal expenses, and tips for the guide and driver.

The dry season, from about March to August, is the best time for beaches, Ba Na Hills and Hoi An. September to December is the rainy season, when heavy rain and floods can affect Hoi An. See our Da Nang travel guide.

Yes, children are welcome. Tell us their ages when you book and we will include the child price in your quote. Please note that some activities, such as boarding boats or entering caves, require care, and children must be supervised by their parents.

Tips are not included and are optional, but they are appreciated in Vietnam. As a rough guide, many travellers give a private guide about 200,000–400,000 VND (8–16 USD) and a driver about 100,000–200,000 VND (4–8 USD) per day, usually in an envelope at the end of the tour.
